Re: Aftermarket Suspension Setup's

The only completly stock suspension pieces I have are the front A-arms. I'm running a BMR panhard rod, boxed stock arms (big improvement over unboxed), Founder Performance LCARB's, modified Spohn torque arm on custom built crossmember, Spohn K-member, and Spohn upper strut mounts.

Is there a specific question you had, or are you just wondering what everyone is running?

How did you notice the improvement in the boxed arms?

A lot less wheelhop. I really wasn't expecting that much of a difference honestly as I'm a natural sceptic of just about everything till I see it. But it really did work great.

I can definitely see your skepticism about tubular A-arms, I share it. However I am fairly uninformed when it comes to aftermarket upper strut mounts... what's your caveat with them?

I just put in new shocks struts and new bf goodwrench 235/60/15x8 all around. I have been looking around in the junkyard for some iroc/ws6 sway bars. Anything cheap I should be looking out for?

And I was wondering about strut mounts. I heard that the bushing can wear, I have seen some for $150 new, which isn't too bad. SFC would be nice, but I don't want to drop very much money on my suspension yet.

edit: Also I was looking for a wonderbar, still haven't seen one in the junkyards yet. I also put new rotors and pads on the front and looking for a 4th gen rear with disc/3.42's

Re: Aftermarket Suspension Setup's

If anyone is running a Full Aftermarket Suspension Setup, I'd like to see it...
Maybe the Sales Department at UMI has a car that they have fully done. (I noticed they have been active in the Suspension/Chassis Forum)

I think it would be nice to see a thread with A Full Setup, Some Pictures, Thoughts/Feedback on each piece.

Re: Aftermarket Suspension Setup's

mine is pretty complete

WS6+ suspension
aggressive street alignment (vetrucks specs)
Kuhmo Ecsta Ast 245/50/16 tires 30psi
Spohn Front end rebuild kit with poly tie rods
UMI Adjustable Strut mounts
KYB GR-2 Front struts
KYB Gas-a-just rear shocks
Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs
Heater hose spring mod
36mm front sway bar with poly bushings
24mm rear sway bar with poly bushings
Stock painted A arms poly bushings and poly ball joints
new poly front and rear sway bar endlinks
Front K-member Braces
UMI Steering Brace
BMR Strut Tower brace
BMR weld in outer subframe connectors
Alstons weld in Inner subframe connectors
BMR non adjust Torque arm with poly bushing
Edelbrock On car Adjustable panhard bar poly bushings
J & M Street non adjust Lower Control Arms
Founder Performance lower Control arm relocation Brackets

its alot more stiff and rigid than stock thats for sure... almost feels like a go cart because i can feel EVERYTHING and i can feel the motor rumbling and its just a overall good feeling... no more broken tranny mounts thanks to the poly bushing... the only thing i want to add to my suspension is koni yellow on all four corners.....

Re: Aftermarket Suspension Setup's

Hey mo. Thanks for posting the pics of your UMI parts.

We have an IROC with all our parts on it but we've pretty much beaten it to death so it's not so picture worthy at the moment. Hammered cars for us help produce good products for you guys though, so it's worth it.
