Please help with a problem
I drove the Camaro to work to day and when I made a turn it made a thud sound that seemed to be coming from the front of the car. (front suspension) Then it did it again on the way home. I go to drive in to the car port and apply the breaks to slow to a crawl ,big deep thud from the front. I wanted to see if it would do it again so drove and applied the breaks fairly hard and again thud. Time to break out the jack and stands. Problem is I don't know how to determine if a part is bad. I was thinking that when I dropped the stabilize shaft/sway bar to install a new Wonder bar about 4 days ago I may have aggravated a pre existing problem causing it to go out. My question is = Do I have to worry about driving it to the shop that's about a mile away in city traffic.(stop and go) I understand parts go bad but are there parts that could actually break and come falling off causing a accident or do they just make allot of noise ? (I'm going to baby it all the way there.)

Re: Please help with a problem
It seems to have fixed itself.Checked every thing suggested including the breaks. The only thing I did not like was the pads on the drivers side were barely touching the rotor.Put it back together and took it off the stands for a test drive . The thud is gone,It handles and sounds the same as before. I'm still going to take it in for a inspection. Thanks to those that replied.
