panhard bar - should bolts line up on install with rear in resting position?

I am swapping in another 9 bolt into my 89 GTA. The last guy cut slots through where the panhard bar connects so I had plates welded in, and they made bolt holes for me.

So the rear is installed and when I line up the bar to where it connects to the axle, it's off like 1/2 inch or so. I can get the bolt through if I push hard on the axle toward the passenger side of the car.

Is this typical or is my bolt hole likely off?

thanks for any help,
-Dan

Typical for it be be offset some & need a body/axle push to line up correctly. Nothing to worry about.

Most are off a lil bit.
The best thing to do is get a adjustable panhard bar to center your rearend in the car.

FYI: you don't need to jack up the car or the rearend to install a PHR. You should be able to park the car on level ground and just crawl under there and install it.

After the PHR is installed, what's the easiest way ( other than have someone else do it) to install the LCAs? Not much access to a shop have almost every non-power ( or Amish lol) tools. Got 2 jack stands and a rolling hydraulic jack.
Is there any simple way? Or am I over thinking it?
I know do one at a time, just forgot ... do it unloaded or loaded?
Having my senior moment.

I guess In My case ... grey is the new blonde.

as long as you do them one at a time, shouldn't be anything special. just remove the two end bolts, remove arm, install one end with bolt and nut on loosely, swing into place and bolt in other end. tighten and move on to the other side.
