Lower Ball Joints
Been looking for a set of lower ball joints for an 82 Firebird. It is getting confussing at this stage. Some sites list lower ball joints for 70-02. Others say 90-92 Camaro and more say 82-97 Firebird.
After searching the ones I think I need are K6145T. Was wondering would anyone know if this is correct. Also does a 5L have the same Lower Ball Joints as a 2.8L.
Also what are problem solver ball joints for.
Thanks.

Re: Lower Ball Joints
the ball joints used on these cars fit a TON of other vehicles; pretty common of GM to use a part in multiple applications. K6145T is a commonly used part number.
all 3rd gens, regardless of engine size or year, will use the same ball joint

Re: Lower Ball Joints
problem solver joints are slightly oversized, so they will fit in a worn out a-arm.
and yes, 2nd gens and 3rd gens all use the same lower front ball joint, and the number 6145 is the common number for that joint.
