K member and subframe connector help

Im building a 1987 camaro iroc z-28. it is going to be a street and strip car. im building it from the ground up. i have 2 questions 1---- does anybody know if i need to take any kind of measurements before i take the front k-member out? or does it just bolt right back in place? second question 2----what are the best subframe connectors? the motor is putting out between 450-500 horsepower. one other thing does anybody know anything else i can do to the car to make it stiffer? i just dont want to twist the car all up at take off.

My K-Member bolted right back in place, however all the suspension parts were removed when i put it back on.

Heres some good advice on SFC's -

Re: K member and subframe connector help

I just put in a set of SFCs from Lon at Top Down. Took a little massaging to get around a small dent in the mounting area from a PO's halfassed jacking of the car, but other than that they went in perfectly- high and tight like a marine corp haircut. Don't know if they would be enough for a drag car, but they work for me on the street! Get a wonderbar too- I have one from Lon off my old car that I will be swapping in for the original on Monday if anyone is looking for a used stock one...
