Rear Spring Confusion

I have read a lot of conflicting information about rear springs today and I would like to hopefully set them straight. My car is sagging a bit in the back - 15" from fender to middle of centre cap, while the front is right around 15 3/4". I would like the back to be anywhere from 15 3/4" to 17" for the looks, but also ride nicely. I also have probably 100lbs of stereo equipment in the back, and a spare tire.

Now, from what I can tell my options are the CC635 (variable rate) and the 5665 (linear). Is this correct? Which one rides higher, and which one gives a more smooth ride?

Now, just to add to the confusion even more, both of these springs are available from Moog in these part numbers, and also Summit Racing brand, which appear to be the exact same for about $11 less. Are these the same springs?

Any help is appreciated to find the springs that will give me a smooth ride at 15 3/4" to 17" ride height.

Re: Rear Spring Confusion

Measure from fender to the ground to rule out tire pressure irregularities.

I just ordered the 5665's and will install them this weekend. I hope it doesn't jack the rear higher than stock height.

In my experience, the 5665's will put you up to nose bleed height. I was forced to do some cutting (and use heater hose as an isolator) before I was satisfied.

Let me know what you think, and what your measurements change to when you have the springs on.

After all this, was it down to stock height (ish)? Did you do any weight reduction in the back, or was that stock too?

Thanks
