Today I had to make a three point turn on a narrow road, and when I fully turned my wheels my PS pump started making a terrible grinding sound. It sounds fine during normal turns. The pump is only about a year old and I never noticed this until today.

From inside the car I thought the noise was coming from the tie rods (which are new), but with the hood up it sounds more like the PS pump.

Any ideas?
