Just had new springs and struts put in on all four corners.
Moog 5662 and 5665 with KYB gr2 and Gas-a-just.

But noticed my car sits higher in the front on the drivers side.
After talking to the mechanic who did the work (didn't have time to do it myself ) I realized he may not have indexed the springs properly ( he said they just drop right in, no particular spot for them )

Just had a look under my car and neither spring is indexed properly, both have the ends in random locations.

I did notice that the passenger side (the lower side) was sitting a lot closer to the two holes than the drivers side( the higher side). Could this cause uneven ride height, or should both sides be level since they are both indexed improperly

Either way I have to go back to the shop Monday. Just wondering if this was the cause of the uneven height.

holes really have nothing to do with the indexing ive found..you just spin the springs until theyre at there flatest point and it should be good..

 

I'd have the springs indexed properly, which eliminates all the guesswork.

Agreed...I just did mine, and even my cheap Haynes manual says the lower end of the spring should end up between the two drain holes in the lower control arm. Once I get my car on the ground, I'll know whether or not it's sitting right.

Doesn't say anything about indexing the rear springs however....

 

Nope, no indexing on the rear (although the spring should sit in the isolator correctly if you're using an isolator).

Ok I had the shop index the springs ( covering one hole and sitting before the other) and put in new isolators, but now the car is even higher. I know new isolators will make it sit higher, but I don't think it would have done this much. The car is still uneven by about half an inch as well. Any ideas?

Correct springs? Are they sitting correctly in the upper pockets? Have you driven the car? Are the isolators like the ones below--which won't raise the car to any significant height:

How do I check to make sure they are sitting correctly in the upper pockets?
I've driven the car about 30 miles.
Yeah they looked just like that.

I did notice that the moog springs didn't have a flat end, is this normal? Maybe I had the wrong spring in the box (the box said 5662)

 

A look would tell you if something is awry. That both springs aren't sitting correctly in the upper pocket would be surprising. I'd guess that there's something amiss with the springs themselves.

I saw the picture, when I looked at the springs both ends looked like the bottom of the spring in the picture.
