Strut tower brace. It tightens up the chassis by helping box everything in on the top end. Great improvement on handling.

Just google it. "Third gen strut tower brace". You can buy one or just fab up your own. There's plenty of info out there.

Re: What exacly is this called?
I'd recommend installing after market strut mounts before adding the brace.

Our STB is for TPI engine only and won't work with a carbed version. The air cleaner gets in the way, unfortunately...

We offer two options for the Third Gens, a two-point and a three-point. They will make a pretty tremendous improvement on the front suspension and steering feel.

Re: What exacly is this called?
With the aftermarket strut mounts you not only get a firmer cornering setup (metal rolling bearing instead of rubber), you also get more aggressive alignment options. Most of all you get all that cornering twisting force being run through the struts themselves. Rather than absorbing the strut's actions through a mushy rubber stock upper strut mount. This improves the strut's performance.
