Front Control arm mount broken

my firebird was recently in an accident and i cant find the parts i need to put it back together. long story short the driver side lower control arm rear mount bracket is bent and ripped off. and its bolt holes look like the number 8. I can find rear suspension "relocation brackets" bolt on and weld on all day long which would work if it was my rear bracket that was broken but no one has the front bracket. if any one has come across one or knows who would/could make them could you let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Front Control arm mount broken

Your talking about the front control arms right? And the rear mounting ear for the control arm? That's part of the k member, and its welded on from the factory, its a common failure point if the car is hit in the front wheel area. It would be best to pickup a different k member and swap the whole thing. you could try to weld a new mount on, but it would be difficult to get it right without taking the k member off the car, and at that point, just swap in a different one.

The can be had for under 100 bux about anywhere. Ebay, craigslist, the classifieds here on tgo, ect.

Well, be careful there. Our $479.95 K-member doesn't have motor mount options...so you'll be left to use engine plates like a race car...not what you want to do for a street car. Also, you will have to use an upper spring perch as well as lower A-arms. So it's not just the K-member. I can certainly give you a good discount on buying all the pieces together though.
