what have you done?
From reading all of the suspension upgrades for the rear and front, what do you run for struts or coilovers? sfc, lca, phb, k-member? etx. whats your build like? i just want to hear some peoples opinions on what i should do for mine, its all stock, 112k miles and its sat for ten years.
i see a lot of umi, spohn and eibach(sorry if ive spelled it wrong) and koni and a few others.
i should be looking at around 350-400rwhp. maybe less.
What do you RECOMEND?
Whats worked BEST for you in the long run?

Re: what have you done?
It depends a lot on what you plan do do with the car. Daily driver? Street strip car, dedicated drag car, weekend autocross, road race, all out street, lowrider....

Re: what have you done?
bunch a UMI stuff mostly. welded subframe rails, adjustable panhard bar adustable rear trailing arms, (everything with the delrin bushings), control arm relocation brackets,
IROC springs, WS6/1LE sway bars front and rear, 36/24,
KYB AGX struts and shocks, polyurethane bushings, new inner and outer Moog's tie rods, wonderbar(IROC steering brace), non adjustable torque arm. this is for my daily drivers,
i unintentionally made the ride alot harsher than expected. DC roads are the worst ive seen yet and i feel it for sure. but it does hook up real good now.

Alston SFC's, edelbrock 3 point STB, tubular LRC arms and panhard bar. And a UMI steering brace.

Re: what have you done?
TDS Wonderbar. It's 3 bolt per side mounting system makes life so easy.
BMR subframe connectors, front and rear sway bars (36 and 24 mm respectively, if memory serves), lower control arms and relocation brackets, panhard and panhard relocation bars, torque arm and transmission crossmember/torque arm mount, and three point strut tower brace.
Suspension Techniques 1" lowering springs (my car is a V6)
KYB GR-2 shocks and struts.
I love everything about my setup so far, from the good looking red parts all under my car, to the "glide" she's beginning to develop and the fact that 65 mph now "feels slow." I've been able to surprise my friends (who helped me install it all!) with my Camaro's maneuverability and turning radius.
Next up will be camber/caster mounting plates from Founders or UMI(probably, unless BMR comes up with something) and a new steering kit that refreshes my old stuff. The drawback I've found of getting everything to the rear and mid part of a 25 year old car replaced and tightened up with perormance parts is that the front end begins to feel "loose." One magazine article I read about it likened it to "pushing a wet pea around with your nose."
I prefer to buy parts from the same company now because I know they will work together. It was a bit gutwrenching to find out that the BMR transmission crossmember/torque arm relocation mount didn't work with the Alston -style SFC's I got from TDS. They needed to be able to occupy the same space when mounted.
BMR (to me) has displayed competitive prices, great sales around the holidays, and great overall customer service.
Good luck!

Re: what have you done?
thanks guys, i'm looking for more of a moderate street car, used on the weekends, sometimes daily driven. Just something better than stock, basically one or two steps ahead of stock!
