Hey guys, the only other components I need to change suspension wise are the torque arm and sway bars. Though I'm not really convinced I need new sway bars.

Regardless, those that have swapped these, any recommendations?
Car is leaning more towards road racing.

BMR or UMI would be my first two picks; both of which are site sponsors. I personally went with BMR, but I also have a few UMI parts on my car and they're equally decent in quality.

Hey there! What are you looking to do with your car? Sway bars are a great part for someone looking to improve highway feel and cornering performance. You'll see a very noticeable boost in confidence when you enter a corner since body roll will be virtually eliminated.

Re: Recommend torque arm and sway bars
As sway bars really don't go bad and the factory made quite a few different sizes, you could get factory bars with new bushings and end links - if you budget won't allow for new.

TQ arm is a definite - the factory one was terrible and not much can be done to make it anywhere as effective as good aftermarket offerings.

Re: Recommend torque arm and sway bars
I would look at how the car currently handles (first of all, follow Paul's advice and get poly bushings/endlinks for the sway bars). If it oversteers too much, go with less bar in the rear or more bar in the front, if it understeers, go with more bar in the rear or less bar in the front. This depends on your spring setup, weight distribution, etc. Getting cheap used ones to test it out is a good cheap way to do this too. I have stock 34mm front/24mm rear with poly end links and bushings and they do the job (I painted them so that they look good)

Cool, thanks for the tips guys.
Anyone remember which company makes subframe connectors that are in the middle of the chassis? I really don't want to cut up my exhaust.

Alston or MAC (you lose a slight amount of ground clearance though, but nothing too dramatic unless you are very low, or as other members on here put it accurately: stupid low .. lol)

Re: Recommend torque arm and sway bars
I installed UMI and I am definitely satisfied. A couple of minor tweaks and adjustments and feels like factory but better.

Re: Recommend torque arm and sway bars
On a side note, I have a non-adjustable UMI torque arm which served its purpose well but now I am in the market for an adjustable crossmember mounted one. This would add performance and rigidity and I would be able to adjust the pinion angle to reduce driveline vibration/noise.

Re: Recommend torque arm and sway bars
Kevin (BMR Tech), do you know if the bushing that comes with your torque arm has the lips facing towards or away from the driveshaft?
(Non adjustable)
