Hotchkis feed back
Hotchkis feed back
Anyone running Hotchkis springs? I need to buy lowering springs and only have experience with eibach(which I will not be buying again).
Also looking for other input on other options other than eibach.
Thanks

I've had the Hotchkis 1903 1" lowering springs for years. Here's a pic

The cars use makes a big difference in what springs you'll want. For example, I quickly overlooked hotchkis cause of the low spring rate. I think it was like 600#-650# fronts. Whatever it was I didn't even write in down in my spring shopping notes. I like to autoX so I need higher spring rates and all linear springs. I went with ground control weight jacks. They were a perfect for MY build. I'm curious to know your eibach story because they were one of my final choices. I wanted a sportline stance but the rears were way too soft for me.

One gripe about the Hotchkis springs is their prices, much more than Eibach or Global West for a set.
Keep in mind that some springs have linear rates, others progressive. If that makes a difference for you, your choices will be more limited...

I dont like Eibachs because they ride so hard and the rear end is jumpy. I liked they handled on a smooth surface. I want it to lower the car, improve handling but not ride like a rock.

You may like the hotchkis if that's your opinion of eibach. Did you have sportlines or pro kit? What shocks/struts are you running?

Ive had then sportlines on a 3rd and a 4th gen. Rear end was way to jumpy. Bilstines in the rear and qa1s in the front on the 4th gen and bilstiens all around on the 3rd.

have you looked into BMR? They should have a kit for 3rd gens. My 02 TA had a set of 1.25's which actually settled down between 1.25-1.5 which was good for my DD, handled well except for my bad choice in strut/shocks(KYB AGX adjustables).. they were pure crap
