Re-Build
OK I'm confused. I amrebulding my91 RS Convertible and all I have left is te suspension.
I have new Monro Sencea-matic shock and struts so far to put on
I am gettin rear Hoskins rear control arms and adj panhard bar tomorrow from guy off Craigs list for a smoking deal.
Now the front end. I need it all. This is for my street cruiser/show car. So I don't want to go crazy but iturn I don't want to do it twice.
Ebay sells steering rebuild kits for 129. The part stores want a lot more. I want good stuff but there's a point where your waisting your money on a name. O'Reilly's sell Master Pro brand on the cheep and Moog for allmost twice as much. They both have the same "Limited life time warrentee" it i only against defects nt wear or guarentee miles.
Should I spend the money or just goto ebay? I haven't cut any corners on this car. I want quality and someone that will back thir product up.
I am open for input I need all of your collective experance and knowalge.

Re: Re-Build
I am pretty sure when discount parts houses put a lifetime warranty on something they are selling me JUNK. My daily driver is a Mercury Sable that I drive about 100 miles a day. I put a lifetime warranty coil from auto zone on it. I am on my 3rd one now. Had the same problem with the water pump until I bought one from NAPA. The water pump is a pain in the *** that I did not want have to do once a year like the coil.
I had the same problem with a Western Auto water pump back in high school. I had a 72 Charger with a 440 that I needed to change about every 4 or 5 months until I bought a water pump from a real parts house. Western Auto kept exchanging them but I got sick of having the break down.
Do what you want but I would not cheap out on parts for my front end. To much work to do over.
With all that said I think Moog is your best bet.

Re: Re-Build
I like Moog products and have always found them to be well priced. I haven't used the Master Pro brand though.
