Steering box selection. What should I go for?

Looking to swap out my 15" wheels and go up to 16". I really want the GTA rims!!! But I also want a real tight (12:1, I guess) steering box that can fit my car.

So what steering box would work for me? I have a 1984 Trans Am and I noticed that some steering boxes different mounting holes/locations.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!
Chuck

I don't have the part number, but I went with the 2 and 1/4 turn to turn unit on my 83 TA running 16" crosslace GTA rims.

Everything bolted up and am pleased with the performance.

Do you have issues with the front tires rubbing?

I bought it off EBay probably 5 years ago or so. I probably won't be able to find the part number unless it is easy to see under the hood.

I think the biggest thing to look for is 2.25 turn to turn vs. the 2.5 turn to turn. I don't think there is any mounting issues from 1982-92. Either I got lucky and got one for the early years or it won't matter the year as mine bolted up fine.
