High Speed Handling Questions
Ok, in a few weeks I will get my car back from the dyno for the final time. Last pull was 780rwhp. Expected pull this time in excess of 850rwhp. I have a 4L80E o/d, 3:25 rear gear and tall "Z' tires. My math says this car will run upwards of 200mph at approx. 7200 rpm and I believe the car has the power to pull it. Can anyone out there contribute solid info from experience, yours or someone else's, how this car may behave at those speeds. I have a 91 Z28, all spoilers and ground effects in place, Harwood forward facing hood scoop but all air is directed into the procharger intake. I have had the car with previous engine to 150+mph and handled decent but did not maintain that speed for any extended period of time for sure. I have also had the car to about 140 with the added hood scoop but at that time, the hood scoop was not sealed to the blower intake so I believe it was creating under hood pressure causing some lift as the car was motor boating a bit at that speed but again, did not maintain speed for very long. The car is a little front heavy with procharger and all the peripherals including big radiator. Who knows something on this.

Re: High Speed Handling Questions
Are you planning to run for extended periods of time at 200mph? You need to consoder building a real front arm dam and splitter at the very least and look into a rear spoiler for the rea for some downforce.

Tell us about your suspension, wheels and tires, aero modifications...
You only need about 500hp to get past 200mph in a 3rd gen, BTW.
