Coil spring question
Hello all,
I have a 91 T/A and am trying to look up (what I believe is) a GM part #. I found two numbers on the the spring. The first is B7W; the second appears to be 14020397. Can anyone identify if this is the WS6/1LE spring, standard firebird or aftermarket? The main reason I am asking is that the previous owner had this car setup for drag racing and had drag shocks in the front. I'm not sure if he also changed to a drag spring as well. And I am building quite a different car; more along the lines of a street/ road race suspension. Thanks for any help, Mike

Re: Coil spring question
Or does anyone know where I can look to research the part number? I've tried the regulars sources Bing, Google and an old Chilton/Haynes manual

Re: Coil spring question
The springs were selected by a computer and changed according to trim levels, suspension packages, and car weight.
There is no "WS6" spring or "IROC" spring, there was merely a range combined with weight and desired ride quality that was optimized by a computer.
You can learn a little from this, though:

Im guessing B7W is actually BZW.

Re: Coil spring question
Thanks a lot, I'm fine with the BZW spring. Would have been nice if it was the BZY buttons at least I know it's not a light weight drag spring. Thanks again, Mike
