replacing steering column
Hi, im in need of some help. i am replacing the whole steering column out of my 1988 rs camaro. i am swapping it with a 1988 iroc camaro column. every thing is exactly the same except for the plate at the bottom where it bolts to the fire wall. its completely upside down. is there anyway i can spin it or something but i dont know how to take it apart to spin it around so it will mount up right. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

all our cars have the same pattern. You need to look at it again and see if the steering wheel wasn't turned while out of the car. post pics if unsure

Re: replacing steering column
yeah i figured it out the bottom piece was turned 180 degrees so thats why it was giving me a problem. the only reason i found that out was by trying to mock it up in the car, and when i went to pull it out to take a second look at it, it got caught on something under the dash and the piece that mounts to the firewall came apart, so i just turned it 180 degrees back to the way it was suppose to be. it was honestly just dumb luck that it happened like that. but now its in there and i have a working steering column again
