How many miles have you put on it since changing the engine?

Re: front end wheel gap help pls

Any idea what springs are in it? One EXTREMELY common mistake with these cars is the springs have to be indexed, or installed a certain way. If they aren't in properly the car will sit high and have a larger wheel gap. A search or in the stickies "suspension how to" or "lowering 101" should tell you how they need to be indexed. i would check that first.

What's doing it is:

0miles ... just took the old engine and ... put back the new engine
It'll settle back down A BUNCH after a few miles. You'll see.

Re: front end wheel gap help pls

It'll settle like sofakingdom says. My car sat up for half a year, when I dropped it down, it sat as fully extended as when it was raised. After a few miles driving it around, it settled down.

Although, now that I have removed more than 100lbs from the front, it seems to sit really high, almost raking front to back, instead of the other way around. Like it just wants to lift off the ground and fly away. Adios.

Re: front end wheel gap help pls

I was under the impression that the car sat too high before with the 350 also. If it's only now with the new engine, these guys are probably right. It should settle back down.
