front spring help needed( engine swap)

my car started life as a 2.8 car with no options other than a.c, but the motor was blown and I did a carbed v8 swap with no a.c or emissions stuff not even cats. with that being said i never changed the front springs or sway bars. recently i found i havd a broken spring so i thought time for a front suspension work. i bought a 34mm suspension techniques sway bar and new moog struts for a v8 car and moog coil springs for a 305 car. i know the springs are indexed correctly and it drives straight down the road and no more floating in the front like a boat but the fender gap is huge! it looks like the front has more gap than the rear. the rear suspension is all for a v8 car as well with a bigger sway bar. did i buy the wrong springs or something? should i have bought v6 springs again? i really don't like the gap.

Re: front spring help needed( engine swap)

Assuming* the springs are indeed the correct rate(sometimes aftermarket springs aren't) check again that they are installed correctly. Never hurts to triple check! I'm personally not sure if any of the suspension parts differ from 6/8.

I have noticed moog springs on other vehicles do something similar but generally settle in. If you are still not happy with them though, remove them while they are still 'new' and you shouldn't have a problem returning them due to incorrect ride height.

Re: front spring help needed( engine swap)

I would assume a difference between 6 and 8 because of the weight difference.

How old are the rear springs? They could be old and sagging compared to the new, fresh front springs.

rears are about 1 month older than the fronts.
