Lowering with LSX swap/tubular K-member?
Hey guys, I'm currently ordering parts for my LSX swap. I've run into a big concern as far as my suspension goes. I didn't realize I would run into this problem until I called a suspension shop inquiring about springs. I need to order my tubular K-member with tubular A-arms but my concern is I'm not sure to go with traditional style struts or to go with coilovers for adjustability, reason being that I'm shaving so much weight off the front end I'm not sure the car will sit level if I go with traditional springs. Can anyone that's performed an LS swap with a tubular front end chime in some info or opinions? It seems most people prefer Eibach pro-kit for springs, but I'm curious if I should spend the extra money to get a coilover setup to prevent the chance of my car sitting high in the front. The car will mostly be a weekend warrior seeing little track time during the summer.

Your nose will come up substantially even if you keep all your options. The LS1 is that much lighter
Even with an iron LSx block, my front end came up about two inches. I ran cut WS6 springs for several years until swapping in Eibach 2" drop springs up front. I prefer the stock ride height and that nailed it
I dont suggest tubular A-arms for the street, so little benefit, nor coil overs. The strut towers were not designed to handle that much weight
Not sure what K-member you were considering, but know the Spohn unit will be the lowest point on the car
