New stock control arms?
Any idea where to buy new stock front control arms?
are the aftermarkets really worth 500 bucks? I mean like what kind of ride feel difference do you get and is it worth the 500 bucks or so?

No, your not going to find new stock ones. GM discontinued them and nobody makes a repro.
You are gonna have buy stock ones used from junkyard, parts car, hawks, etc.. Or buy new tubular aftermarket
Hawks has them used for $50 each http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/st...r-used-l-or-r/

The aftermarket ones are worth the price.... IF you need them.
If it's just a stock car, that you drive normal, play with and have alittle fun then no, they are not worth it.
If it's a car you are pushing to the limits, do any type of racing, be it auto X, or even drag racing the the aftermarket ones flex less and weigh less. It will help you to corner harder, and drop some weight off.

Re: New stock control arms?
A set of Global West Del-A-Lum bushings in the stock front A-arms works well for me. They don't ride any worse than stock, but offer faster response when turning. I put them in at the same time as a new set of Moog 5662 front springs. So it's hard to say what did what. But the result was a nicer driving car. Firmer, but not harder. Faster response over rough road (good) and overall just a more pleasurable car.
I did the back end with del-sphere (Spohn) lower control arms and panhard bar. The car actually rides better than it did with the stock LCA and PHB with their 25 year old rubber bushings. I found that surprising. And it was immediately noticeable upon pulling out of the driveway. The Del-sphere setup is a delrin wrapped bushing just like the Global West Del-A-Lum (Delrin wrapped aluminum) setup.

yeah im gonna copy ur set up in the front. my rear suspension is already done, bilstein, founders panhard and lower control arms. think the springs were moog.
i got kyb struts in the front i put in about a year ago so im gonna leave them, got the wonder bar too. and obviously welded sub frame connectors was the first thing i did when i got the car

Global West sells them at their site as well. You want the 1022 part number. (The 1021 part number is for 1982 cars)
With rubber, you turn the car and the car shifts it's weight in the opposite direction, compressing the rubber during the initial turn of the steering wheel. There is a slight delay between when you turn the wheel and when the car turns.......With the Del-A-Lum, you don't get that delay.
