HELP!! Will a Camaro Steering Column fit a Firebird?

My 87 Firebird formula has a bad steering column and I found a great deal on a steering column, but it's a camaro column. Will they interchange? The guy only wants 50 bucks for it. Also, my Formula doesn't have cruise, but the camaro column does, will this effect anything? Thanks for the help.

it should fit and the cruise don't really matter, since it's just wiring

The column will fit. No worrys.

But the turn signal switch will be different - cause the bird uses the same lights as brake and turn - the Camaro has independant signal lights. That means you will have to take the columns apart and swap turn signal switches. They will change over. Don't forget to change the lock cylinder too.

The cruise will not be an issue.
