I've seen these for foxbodys but never for F-body, anyone hear of or use them? Custom made of course.

 

Why would you want them? Plenty of engine clearance

Because I don't like metal creep, some people are just simple I guess

 

Are you confusing metal creep with the creep seen in thick glass over longer periods of time?

Most of the metal in our frame/unibody/suspension components is ambient temperature and allows creep strain to be ignored or negligible at best. If you are finding cracks in your vehicle's body it is most likely due to a portion of the frame not being braced properly, IE under the steering box.

 

The reason the mustang guys use them is for taller motors like the 5.0 to 5.8,
esp the 4.6 to 5.4 swap.

 

If you reduce the surface area then you increase the load on what is left

 

Yup, I have a fox also. I want to increase engine clearance as well as raise the body, because short front tires.

 

Better solution would be to get a new hood

So you like your stock hood better than a car that handles correctly? Guess what I should ask is how much do you plan on lifting the body? Is it a drag car?

You don't that's why I asked if it was a drag car because if your building anything but a drag car these spacers are a terrible idea
