Which rear springs?
for 84 TA daily driver with more emphasis on straight line performance,
rather than corner carving.

WOW. 20 views so far - and no opinions.
Either that, or none of us knows.

Re: Which rear springs?
i installed the 5665 on my Z28 a couple of weeks ago. Stock springs were NNL. I'm happy with them so far. They are stock height springs.
i read a couple of places that the progressive springs are taller.

I wouldn't mind taller.
When I changed my front springs, I went taller.
The roads around here suck, and I like being able to roll my jack
under the front end without first lifting the car with my back.

Re: Which rear springs?
I went with the 5665's and the KYB 'Gas A Just' shocks.
I wanted the rear a little stiff and that's what I got. Mine is primarily a straight line car. No corner carving.
My rear tires are one inch taller then the front so that and the springs give me this rake. If you don't want it as much once you get them in just remove the spring isolater's and replace with heater hose around the top of the spring.
A little tip on the spring install. Put the Isolater on the spring where you want it and use electrical tape in a few spots to hold it on.

Re: Which rear springs?
I don't know if the rear spring rate matters all that much for drag racing. Shock settings are probably more important in the back.
The front can definitely use a light spring rate to help with weight transfer, about 350 to 400 lb/inch.

Re: Which rear springs?
5665 is popular. Perfectly valid choice. Stock replacement is CC635 which is variable rate. Also perfectly valid choice. Couldn't say, myself, which one would be better for drag racing, for you. The heavier your car, the "taller" the CC635 will be, compared to the 5665.
