Haynes manual terms question, can anyone help me???

Ok, I'm reading the haynes manul about how to remove the gas tank, need to replace the fuel pump. It says that you need to remove the "rear suspension track bar" and "If so equiped, remove the rear stabilizer bar from the frame." Ok, is the 'track bar' the same as a panhard bar, and isn't the 'stabilizer bar' the anti-sway bar? I'd really like to know, because if they are, I might as well get new ones while I'm at it right?

It you look under the rear of the car you'll see the panhard bar attached to the diff. Above the panhard bar is another brace. Both need to be removed.

The terms are interchangeable, panhard bar or track bar.

Thanks, so track bar=panhard bar right? And is the "rear stabilizer bar" the rear anti-sway bar?

The previous posts are correct, but however i would if i were you, go get the manufacturers service books. Heres a link where you can get them. The books are really detailed and easy to follow. http://www.helminc.com/helm/search2r...TTE13BNEWMD5G2

Your right in just wanting to know what is what and not wanting to order the wrong thing, but i wanted to put this link out for people to get original gm manuels. In my manuels, it points out everything i need to know, including which parts are what. The manuf. should know what is on the car.
