17X9.5 or 17X8.5 wheels up front?

Should I use 17x8.5's up front for better clearance? or will 17X9.5's work just as well up front on a 3rd gen? I am using 17x9.5's out back. Any cornering, etc. performance sacrificed by using an 8.5 up front?

I am using 17x8.5 on all four corners with 245/45/17zr tires. No problems and they stick like clue in the corners. Also if you keep the same width you will be able to rotate the wheels and tires,
I only use spacers on the front. The car is 87 IROC.

Raptor,
if I were you i'd go with the smaller.Ive got 9 x 18" front and 10"x18"rears and i find the 9"s "tramline" on any road imperfections.Look cool though!!

Im using a Baer Kit front and rear.I cant praise Baer enough. The kit came ready assembled and was fitted in a day with no other modifications needed. Also they performed even better than promised
