IS the setup really that much better then say going out and getting bigger rotors\calipers, and just upgrading the whole system with like Baer Brakes or something??
what about price\availability?

Well, installing the the 1LE setup means going out and getting bigger rotors and calipers already. Some of the Baer setups use the same 2 piston PBR calipers with similar or slightly larger rotors, so I imagine performance would be comparable at least.
If you modify your own spindles, the 1LE setup is considerably less expensive than an aftermarket kit. All of the parts are readily available except for one of the caliper carrier brackets which will soon be available from Steve Spohn.

I've noticed that 1LE replacement pads are like triple the price of standard pads why is that. I know they are bigger but come on, triple the price? I've seen the standards for around 40 bucks compared to the 1LE that run up to 160 bucks
