New Shocks, Struts, Springs?
I have an 89 IROC that the previous owner drove very little, car only has 6k miles on it. He did change the oil regularly. Aside from tires, fluids changes etc, I am thinking the shocks probably need replaced due to age and sitting. The tires are flat spotted and I have new ones on order. Any suggestions on what the best brand for shocks is? Not sure if it would also need new springs or struts, any suggestions on brands for those? Thoughts on those going bad from 30 years of sitting? I am sure there are lots of opinions on this but just looking for the "best quality" as I plan to keep the car for a long time and use it for shows etc.

Dude, does it have the original Gatorback tires?!
I would guess that your shocks might be fine. I would remove and invert them for several days to let the oil get back up in the top parts and then work them by hand a few times.
Total guess on my part of course.
As for the tires. If you have the original gatorbacks, I would remove them and see if they can be restored. Original Gatorbacks are incredibly rare.

Perhaps you could raise the car by the chassis, remove the wheels, and over inflate the tires by a few pounds and put them in a warm room, like a sauna, for a few days. That might relax the flats and let the belts get back to where they were. Maybe even bounce them around the flat parts occasionally during the heating period.
Again, totally uninformed, untested voodoo-magic suggestions on my part! Good luck. Awesome car!

Yes it has the original gators, but they are flat spotted bad, otherwise they look brand new. I was not aware that a tire could be restored.....
