Power steering pressure hose
Guys, car is an 88 IROC with the quick ratio box. The pressure hose from the pump to the box is starting to leak a bit where the connectors are crimped onto the rubber hose. On Rockauto I see there are two different pressure hoses for the MFI cars. One "original" design and one "alternate" design. ????? The hose on the car now is the factory hose, so I assume that is "original". Should I get another "original" or is there some advantage to the "alternate"?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Also wondering the same thing. The Original design is about $12 and the Alternate design is $150.

Re: Power steering pressure hose
I bought the "original" one and the hard line side that goes to to the gearbox is too long. It puts the hose where the fuel lines go from the frame to the connection under the alternator.
The fix I did was to cut the hard line and shorten it with a flare fitting coupler.
From the photo's at Rock auto I'm not sure the alternate design one would work any better...
