Not me personally, but I imagine you can get a lot of interest if you can get them reasonably priced (like in the < $250 range). That's probably gonna be a little hard to do since they're also gonna want good metal and quality craftsmanship (since there's a lot riding on them being well made).

hhhmmmm.... here's a good one for ya !! .. make spacers to use your stock rear wheels in the front .... I have the extended lugs already so I just need a spacer .. about 5/8" or sell a kit with extended lugs instead of regular old run of the mill bolt on converter types that EVERYONE already makes ..those are SCAREY !!!!! then you can use cheap old aluminum and not the expensive t-6 spec'ed sutff

If I do this (I am making some for me and a friend) I am going to use 6061 T6 aluminum and grade 10 bolts I am going to make the same style as other companys that charge $400 for a set of 4 spacers (not exactly the same). If I make them there is no sense in using crappy material I wouldn't want to pay that much and get some crappy pot metal or low quality product. I send products like that back with a nasty letter. If I make them they will be made of good quality materals for all you guys and myself. I might be willing to make spacers to use front wheels in the back not much work to make those. I have 7yrs experance in machining and worked in a precision machining shop. In other words I don't make crap.

it seems like a waste of time to put grade 10 bolts in T-6 ???? and if you price out the material ...espcially on a short run ... it's had to beat the 400 they charge ...keep in mind it's a 2+" thick spacer ..and the bolt circle is 4.5/4.75 ?? so you need a 5" x 5" x 2" raw stock .. about 20 cubic inches ... times 4 ....80 cubic inches about $1.5-2 for T-6 ...then 20 lugs at $1+ each .... 20 acorn nuts ... $200 in material ??? then it takes you 1-2 hours to cut by hand ... liability insurance ... etc etc .... if you use the extended lug method your not holding the wheels up with aluminum .... the weight would be on the lugs ...

I can get the grade 10 studs cheep that is why. If I am going to do this I am going to make them right not make some crap. I have nothing but time to make these. Why not make them correctly and you make a remark about square foot of materal... who cares the parts will be made cheep enough there is no reason for the cost per sqft to come into effect. I will be doing this to make me and 2 friends sets and pay for them by selling extras. Lug nuts can be gotten for cheep the only thing that will cost us big money is the materal I would make them out of steel but the weight wouldnt be worth it.

I recently made a set for my car (91 Camaro with C5 wheels). They had to be 2.50" thick. I used steel tubing because I found some in our stock room. I am an engineer at a large machine shop. They are heavy but really not too bad. I think the cheapest route for material would be 3" I.D. X 6" O.D. tubing. Mine turned out really well. I also used the grade 10.9 metric studs (equivalent to grade 8 sae).

that whole alum with extended studs sounds pretty good....the holes for the alum has to be pretty close. I can design one tomorrow and possible get a 3D model done and post it. The tubing Idea sounds good becase then you don't have the middle secton wasted, that would save alot.

OK, i have a design done, 3D, I think that this would work the best and be the cheapest. Just use 2" longer studs. It is not much but I need someway to post it.....I might create an animation tomorrow with it showing the stud(s).......

I know that on some cars putting wheel spacers on puts added stress on the axles. Is that still true on a third gen?
