Big Crack

I found a LARGE crack in the "frame" right behind the Steering box on my '85 Camaro......Anyone have this happen before?

it's very common, weld it up , a wonder bar would help prevent it from happening again.

yup ihad this problem on mine. i had a "FEW" cracks. frt. end was all sloppy, frame would pop on slow turns in a parking lot. i welded the cracks, then put a few gussets on it, AND added a wonder bar. All is good now even with the 454 in there. Just to give you an idication of how bad mine was, i could grab the dr. frame railwith my hand (with the car in the air) and wiggle it back and forth easily.

If you weld the (these) cracks up with a MIG welder. Then you can grind them down flush and you will never even see them.
