So....you can only adjust these one tooth at a time? Finer adjustments would not be possible? Any idea how degrees of adjustment one gets by moving one tooth?
They're garbage. I got them the other day, tried installing them today and the tolerances are wacked out.
Can you provide details? I'm sure many of us are interested in the specifics about the fit and finish of this product. Any idea how it compares to the Detroit Speed version?
- BMR shipped the wrong hardware and I destroyed the threads on the bearing mount that holds the top of the shock. They quickly shipped me the correct hardware and a new bearing mount.
- When I torqued down the nut on the top of the shock, the bearing was bound up and the whole wheel well would flex when I moved the wheels side to side. The issue was the plastic shock cover (Koni Yellow) was causing it to bind. For now I have removed the shock cover and it's all good.
I did not have any issues with the tolerances being "wacked out". It's possible the other poster was trying to mount them on the wrong side of the car. The directions were not super clear and that's what I almost did. The holes would kind of line up but you could tell it wasn't right.
I dropped my car off to get an alignment last week and a few other things. I told the guy "no rush".
I called today to see how he was doing and he said he spent almost 2 days trying to get it aligned (hyperbole?) and had to step back because he was frustrated. He said the little retainers are very very difficult to work with while the suspension is loaded up. He hasn't given up on them yet, but the initial review is not good.
