Whats up guys I just wanted to know how much Hp and torque a stock 3rd gen body will take before its time to start beefing it up.

A stock motor will begin to wreak havok on these unibody cars my friends car a stock 86 iroc has stress cracks on the roof but of course the more you beat on it the more problems you will have and in my opinion gm should have put subframe connectors on all cars that left the plant.

 

I agree, these cars are flexibile flyers out of the factory. Stiffening them up will make a difference no matter how much power you have. My 85 TA rides better with all new, stiffer and lowering components than it did stock. A little stiffer over sharp bumps, but much smoother overall.
