Stock Height Springs

What are the best stock height springs that I can put in a third gen? I'm looking for handling performance on the street, no drag strip use. I will be around 450 hp in a SBC with a manual trans. Stock height because my driveway is very rough, and some local roads aren't much better. I've been looking at Moog 5608's for the front, and Moog 5665's for the back, and KYB AGX shock all around. Is there anything that would work better for that combination for what I will be using it for?

Re: Stock Height Springs

These are what I used until I went with UMI. IMHO, these are the correct springs for the IROC/Z28 performance suspension and ride height.

Re: Stock Height Springs

Stock height is significantly higher than most people think it is, these cars look really 4x4 at that height, especially with modern lower profile tires. I don't know of anyone that has installed Moog springs and didn't take them out and cut them or swap them for something shorter later on.

Re: Stock Height Springs

Moog's springs are stock height.

I am a fan of my Moogs and am not going to be taking them out, or trying to get the car lower. They settle to the correct ride height after a year.

KYB Excel G front and back are equivalent to WS6 shocks/struts.

Re: Stock Height Springs

Is it true that KYBs are noisey on thirdgens? I seem to recall a thread about that sometime back...

Re: Stock Height Springs

Noisy? Nope.

I was remarking at how quiet the ride was on Monday, actually.

Re: Stock Height Springs

My OEM springs did not sit too high. Yes, the fender gap is more than most cars today, but not weird looking. There are a lot of OEM spring types available from Moog and you need to get it right. These cars did not sit abnormally high when they were new. They looked great.
