Aftermarket Sway Bar

As the pick & pulls are stocking few third gens, it seems the choice is either used or new aftermarket. The used ones are no longer a cheap alternative, once shipping charges and new bushings are added. When I search for hollow front bar, it seems the choice is Spohn. What's the best option for a weekend cruiser? My car is a most stock 84 Trans Am, though I am running 245/50/16s.

It’s the stock 32mm bar. It needs new bushings and end links. I have a 24mm rear bar from a previous project. I planned on installing the rear bar and since mine needs bushings I figured might as well upgrade the front bar. We have a stock WS6 86 Trans Am that handles much better than the 84. I’d like to have that same level of handling.

The 86 might have a 34mm bar but I’m wondering if it has a touch better spring set in it also. Hawks sells a decent front bar they call it a 36mm but it’s a gm 34mm I have it now going to be selling it soon but another issue is they sell the wrong bushing mounts with it also so they can work just need to drill a hole for the offset mounting.

I looked at that one. That’s pricey for a used bar. I realize it’s powder coated but over $200 dollars, that’s new bar pricing. Why do they claim a 34mm bar is 36? I see Summit sells a QA1 35mm bar with bushings for around $250. Not familiar with QA1. Doesn’t have bad reviews
