88 Formula Rear Replacement Shocks-Sway Bar Links
I have a WS6 suspension but all the parts stores are telling me only standard Monroe Shocks are what is available for this year
Anyone have experience with Rear Shock replacement and the sway bar end links, thanks

Over the counter at the parts store, they are pretty much right. And while a modern gas shock might be the mechanical equivalent of your 30+ year old shocks, there are better choices. Like Bilstein or Koni. Not cheap, but a huge improvement over stock.
Ride is harsh, need some suggestions.

If your looking at end links I would check out polys, the WS6 end links are pretty stout( I think they were nylon, only reason I changed mine was 1 was replaced with rubber and was torn and the rest were getting rusty). Lon at TDS sells the 1LE nylon style or Spohn and a few others make the poly end links and both are quality.
They are not bad to replace but if the old ones are crusty it will be more work fighting rust/cutting the old ones out, install was straight forward and tighten them until the bushings begin to compress.
Replacing the shocks is super easy, only real pain is pulling the carpet up a little in the hatch to remove the bolts on the inside of the car. If you replace rear shocks it would be a good time to think of doing the springs, mine were pretty tired and I changed them after the fact and the improvement was huge, AC Delco rear springs will also maintain stock ride height as well and my car is WS6.

87-92 formula uses poly endlinks from the factory, yellow from 87-90ish and blue from 90ish to 92. Any poly replacement will be fine. I use moog mostly.

Koni yellows are available - I didn't like them until they were set on the lowest setting. I've heard of Bilstiens working, but haven't seen the part number for them. Have Bistien B8 performance shocks on my 545 and love them.
