lift bars
Those are mainly for leaf sprun cars. It takes the twisting action that the axle exibits on the springs and stops it with bumpstops. The spring twists about an inch and then the lift bar pushes up on the front of the spring eye. This in turn forces the axle down and giving the tires traction. Cars without torque arms like ours can benefit a lot from these.
Since lift bars weld to the axle, they work just like ladder bars. They use axle torque to add traction. As you might imagine, having your rear end welded in place doesn't make for a very comfortable ride. A rear LCA lowering kit and good bushings would be much better for a street car. It will provide improved off the line acceleration and still give you a compliant ride.
cool thanx guys......this is an off topis quesion but what springs should i getfor my 91 that will lower it but stil give a good launch when racing? I hav only heard of Eibach and Hotchki(sp)
