Pro Kit Settling or Not

Installed an eibach pro-kit last year. Drove it about 50 miles. Finally this year I've been able to use the car more. My issue is my car has the Cali lean. Im 27" to bottom of rear fender, and 28 1/4 or so on the front. Admittedly ive removed a ton of weight from the nose. Any chance that it settles after some mileage or am I better off cutting a coil out?

Re: Pro Kit Settling or Not

The ride height seems to be absurdly high. I am running eibach lowering springs, and my car is quite low. Mine did not settle noticably. How much weight reduction are we talking?

Aluminum heads, water pump and radiator. Headers instead of cast manifolds. AIR delete, Tubular k member. Springs are indexed in pockets correctly as well

I have more weight reduction than you up front and I am waaay lower. Something is wrong. In the pictures your ride height looks like mine with the engine and trans out. Is your suspension binding or something?

Whats your measurement. Ground to fender lip? I dont belive its binding. I can put my weight on it and get movement. I guess i could try crackin the control arms loose and see what happens.

I had the prokit and I was about 26.75". Make sure the springs are centered in the upper perches. We were discussing this in another thread too. If they don't seat quite right, it can seem like all is well, but the car will sit really high.

Re: Pro Kit Settling or Not

Same diameter.....245/50/16. The thing is, with spring in there and the A arm installed, it's kinda hard to actually SEE up in there. I can't tell you how many times I've installed springs, and it never happened until the one time it did. Nothing seemed outta whack except when I put the car back on the ground it was WAY up there. Like EASILY noticeable. I had to get the wheel back up off the ground with the A arm hanging as low as it could hang. Even then it was hard to see. Used a prybar and it only moved about a half inch, but boy did it pop! Nowhere it could really go but it sure got my attention! It's still hard to believe it could be off like it was but sure enough it was. Another guy mentioned having the same issue happen to him. Ya never know.

This is the day I installed the Pro Kit, I think it was back in '03! The back settled and evened out, the front maybe dropped another quarter inch, but not really much.

Re: Pro Kit Settling or Not

Just an update. Tore it all apart, didnt find anything wrong. So I chopped half a coil off the front and put thin insulators in the rear. Quite happy with the results. Just put about 100 miles on it. Very pleased thus far.
