HELP!!! Uneven suspension 89 Iroc

I recently did a full suspension upgrade on my 89 Iroc replaced almost all components. I also did a 4th gen rear swap and Eibach lowering springs all 4 corners. I just took the car off the lift and it is uneven the driver side is about 2 inches lower than the passenger side. Any idea what could cause this issue?

Re: HELP!!! Uneven suspension 89 Iroc

Check your spring perches and make sure that each spring is placed correctly with the cut coil butted up against the rubber stop both top and bottom. If you placed springs on their perches improperly, they will not seat to the proper ride height. Make sure you also used the correct spring in the correct location, the short fat ones go to the rear, the taller skinnier ones go to the front. Aside from that, double check your work and ensure all hardware and other suspension components were reinstalled correctly.

Yep, I agree with Berlinetta. Check the spring perches. They've gotta be lined up right.

Re: HELP!!! Uneven suspension 89 Iroc

There are 2 small holes on the bottom of the A-arm where the spring sits. The first hole is supposed to be completely covered by the end of the bottom coil, while the second hole is supposed to be uncovered. Also make sure the tops of the springs are centered in the upper pocket...

Yes, as TL say, they need to be aligned with the end of the spring between those holes, BUT....I've also found with shorter lowering springs, you can have them "not quite" centered up inside the upper mount and that can cause a problem. Only happened to me once, but dang if I took a week to figure out the issue.

This happened to me, too. Very easy to miss that upper pocket when installing. I was able to stick a pry bar up and pop it into place, but you may have to reverse install to get it in there. I would almost bet money that's the problem.

I have sportlines springs and have the same issue. Lower on the front drivers side. Let me know what worked for you and how you corrected it

Re: HELP!!! Uneven suspension 89 Iroc

My eibach springs sit level. The springs themselves are likely not your issue. Unless you were shipped different springs. Is the suspension binding up?

It’s a possibility. I have to get around to pulling the spring back out and making sure it’s seated properly.

Just seeing your post the front passenger side spring was not properly seated on the perch. I shifted it not even a full inch and I heard whole suspension lock into place. Hopefully this helps.
