Hello all. I just purchased a 87 Iroc that had been sitting for over 17 years. My first order of business was dropping the tank and cleaning out the fuel system. However, while doing every bolt that was needed to be removed in order to get the tank out was ceased and broke off. Where is the best place to get new hardware in order to reinstall the rear suspension components? Thanks.
I would hit the parts wanted section here and make a post or you could try some of the members who sell parts, Firebirddude142 is good to deal with and may have those parts as well.
Thanks for the assistance. QUOTE=Reddragon88gta;6473078]I would hit the parts wanted section here and make a post or you could try some of the members who sell parts, Firebirddude142 is good to deal with and may have those parts as well.[/QUOTE]
If you know or can figure out what the sizes are all of the hardware can be purchased from your local hardware store just make sure they are grade 8 for standard hardware or 10.9 grade for metric. I've gotten a lot of my hardware from Fastenal and Menards or you can purchase the same hardware from the after market vendors at a high marked up value for the same hardware that you would buy from a local store. We have the rear lower control arm, front lower control arm and steering box hardware. Some parts come with new hardware, like the front end kit with all the steering related parts. We are working on adding more like strut and idler arm hardware this fall. Big problem is finding cars that still have correct factory hardware so you have something to compare replacements to. Plus there were a lot of small changes from year to year. Definitively something we would like to offer more of in the future. 1982-92 Camaro/Firebird Suspension Hardware (screamingchicken.com)
