Lowering the stock k member slightly
Is there a way to slightly lower the k member without having to disassemble the entire front suspension? I'm trying to remove the oil pan from the LQ9 I swapped and I'm missing about 1/2" of clearance

Rotate the crankshaft. The counterweights are most likely what is preventing the oil pan removal.

Support the engine from above.
Replace the 6 k-member bolts with longer ones so everything stays somewhat in place.
Should do it.

Re: Lowering the stock k member slightly
last time i had to do that i just removed the two motor mount bolts and raised the engine up a few inches
Re: Lowering the stock k member slightly
Do you have the motor mount bolts out and the engine raised? Remove the distributor cap when you raise the motor so it doesn't crack on the firewall. It's easier to raise the bridge than to lower the river.
