Tubular A-arms

Anybody have any opinions on if those tubular a-arms from thunder racing are worth it? I know they make a big difference on msny other cars but I've heard that our stock a-arms are pretty strong. I'm doing a serious going over on my whole suspension and these look tempting but I don't want to waste my money.

Ours are stong but they are heavy compared to the tubular models...I wish Gm would stop using stamped steel for everything....anyway, do a search on these and you will find LOTS of info....I did.

You loose alot of weight! If you have the money take the K-Member with Rack option!

I guess with tubular A-arms you HAVE to get coil-over's right? Doesn't look like much room to put the regular spring back in.

90 Iroc.....well a little "compromise" !But we all love the coil overs!!!!!!we needed the space for our own K-member design:
the idea is to gain lots of the space for the long tube headers we
welded and after some changes (tank,brake/fuel lines and lots of other stuffwe are finally able to run a T R U E D U A L !!!! Set Up!
No spare tire and lower luggage pod!

When we started we thought of a touring car that handels well
on our AUTOBAHN! Remeber no speed limit on 60% of those highways!

If you think of ordering some a-arms , pls mail us!

The real front end:
adj. tubular a-arms
chromoly k-member
wonderbar
rack strg
fiske super lite wheels
6 piston brake
HD tie rod adjuster
strut tower brace
adjust. stabilizer
rewelded braces
coilover....for most out there a wish list!
But when installed the superlite G-Killer!
Oh not to forget the : SFC,Fiber hood,aussie waterpump,454 SB aluengine,recaro race seat,9" rear,.............................

Anybody out there with a 2000pds car and 10 sec slip?

Pro ..hahha ya got me ! I lost a leg by a mouth shooter in here !
We are moving with our storage so i was in a hurry!

Will be in the old world for a shopping tour soon.
Thunder is on our visiting list then!

Pro charged is 50% right!

The Art Mo kit does not offer this option! Its sold as a tubular A-arm+Coil over kit!

On the PA a-arms you do have the option to delete the coil overs!

if you jump on the a-arm kit , get the coil over option ! You will love it!

Sent mail to Thunder to show interest in a GP on these. They're well worth the money if you're looking to shave some of that unsprung weight off the front end.

Wouldn't going to coil-overs put a lot more stress on the inner fender/strut tower? Can they take the additional stress on a daily driver?

the difference is that the roadtech stuff really isn't that much lighter than stock

the whole idea of a tubular k-member is to lose weight off the nose for better weight transfer and i believe this one just gains you more room

is there a power steering option for the rack and pinion or do you have to go to manual steering?
