Quick dumb question: why is the GM genuine motor mount so much more expensive than all the other brands? Looks like a different design too. I’m willing to pay if it’s worth it, but is it?
A better way to phrase the original question would have been, "why does GM charge more than 10 times as much as anybody else for the exact same thing when they just buy it and put it in a box that says GM on the side?" And that's the question I answered. Phrasing it as "why is it so expensive" ignores the aspect of intent and agency, as if "expensive" is something that just randomly happens somehow, instead of it being a conscious deliberate choice to generate maximum possible profits.
