Car: 1984 Trans Am, WS6

Engine: 5.0 HO l69

Transmission: 5 speed

Axle/Gears: 3.73

Rear jack stand location, 84 TA

Hi - have seen a few posts that talk about where to place jack stands in the rear of the car - need to lower rear suspension so I can change the springs. Do I put the jack stands in the yellow area or the red? It looks like previous owners have in both, just don’t want to break anything. I can usually only work in short amounts at a time so may end up being in the jack stands for a couple weeks. Thanks for your advice!

Either will work butt the red place is better.

Be sure to chock/block the front wheels really well too, the car can roll off those stands pretty easy. I like to slide a couple of the tires under the car just to be safe too.
