I need a left lower balljoint, hard to do myself?

I noticed my tire was kinda angled so I took it to my uncle and he said it needs a lower ball joint... I heard u need a special tool to do this? Would I be better off to take it to a shop rather than try it myself? How much $ am i looking at? Thanks..

wait i heard something about a bj?

lol, sorry.. acting like a kid...

please? pretty please? (much more adult)

ok, anyways, no its not that hard, you will need cotter pins as well, ok, what you have to do, is pull off your wheel, then the steering linkage, then the spindel on the BJ has a cotter pin, then you have to disconnect the strut from the upper mount, (not hard)
then pull off the assembly, then you should get a tool, because removing that BJ is not EASY AT ALL!!! i grew quite weak.

what the tool is is like a two prong fork, which you pry with, id see if you ccan buy or loan, to make it easier, then reverse process...
