ok, guys I am having a little trouble with some springs!
Here is what I have done. I have an 83 Z-28 and the front was a little high so I took the springs out and chopped one coil off each side. I put the springs back in and one side was about 3/4" lower than the other. One side looked alright the other side didn't. I took the spring back out and twisted it to fit in the spring pocket better and it is still too low. Well, I decided that I would go get the springs off of my parts car and try them. My parts car is an 84 or 85 Z-28. I bring them home and cut only 1/4 of the coil off so that it wouldn't sit too low in the front.
I put the spring in with 1/4 coil cut off and now it sits higher than before and I only have the driver side in right now. The springs are in straight and everything.
Are these springs a higher rate than my old 83 springs? Should I cut another 1/4 coil off? Also, what would make the old springs sit unlevel with exactly 1 coil cut off each? Thanks in advance.

I'd be almost willing to bet money that the springs are not sitting up in the frame correctly. Double check them again. The springs fit over a "post", for lack of a better term, up in the frame. If they aren't positioned correctly then you end up with front end sitting too high.
Also, the tails of the springs need to be seated correctly in the A-arms. They should be postioned to the inside of the A-arms, covering the first drain hole and partially covering the second drain hole.

Hmmmm. Without seeing the car, you've got me stumped. If the springs match in height when standing next to each other on the ground, then they should match when installed in the car.
