Fix bent Frame or Junk it?

I need some advice from someone familiar with body/frame work. I got an '86 IROC that had slid into something on the passenger side control arm. I replaced that and some tie rods, etc. but wheelbase is still 2.5" shorter on right side than left. Body shop quoted $400 to straighten it out again and assured me that the body panels would fit right. Guess I won't know till I try to put a new fender on. I want to know if it really will be unnoticable as far as the exterior and panel spacing goes. I really hate cars where the body panels don't line up right. Just wondering if this guy is truthful or just convincing me to drum up work. I've heard the shop is reputable. I will probably get it fixed anyway, but if it won't ever be 'just right', I can't justify putting thousands into paint, engine, interior, etc. If this is the case and the panel spacing isn't perfect, I'll probably fix it and sell it. Has anyone had this done and how was the result? Any info would be much appreciated as I have about a week to make a final determination as whether to straighten the frame or not.

IMO a car is never "just right" after the frame gets banged up.

But if this body shop says they can fix it, and you trust their judgment, then I would consider their opinion

... with the thousands of these cars out there, you may just want to consider getting another, and starting with a straight shell.
