Linear Or Progressive???

i'm looking at all brands of springs here. what is the difference between linear and progressive rate springs. i could care less about the "comfortable" ride. as even in stock form the ride is no where near comfortable. i want all out handling. does anyone know/recomend good high performance springs? as everyone else i would like to lower the car about an inch or so. well thanks for your help guys.

Pardon me while I drool at mystikkal's driveway a moment.... :hail:

My vote is for linear as well. They're supposed to hold the road better.

Contact the folks at Ground Control for their suggestions.

I'm running a 175 lb/" rear spring with ride height adjusters.

The front will probably be around 500 - 600 lb/", also with ride height adjusters.

Since my daily driver will see double duty road racing starting this season, I wanted to be able to adjust everything in & on the suspension.

progressives get stiffer as they compress, linears do not. a leaf spring is progressive, which is why they are good for trucks to carry loads. they are soft under light pressure, but as you add weight, they get stiffer and stiffer.

i won't vote cause i haven't driven a camaro w/ prog rate springs.
