Cost of lowering an IROC 1/2"-1"
Cost of lowering an IROC 1/2"-1"
Guys-
I want to lower my IROC slightly to give it a meaner stance, and I'm figuring about 1/2"-1" drop, but I need an estimate from you guys before I call in to set it up...
I'm actually pleased with the front end specs as it is, it's the rear end that I'd like to drop down a bit... can I do just the rear? or will I need to lower all 4 quarters?
Will I need to to purchase a kit (ie Eibach) to do this? or can I just tell the shop what I want, and they'll make adjustments to the stock suspension?
(trying to spend as little as possible here..)
Thanks

Ya know, I'd like that too. I just installed a set of Hotchkis drop springs (I think they say approx. 1") and while I saw that on the front I did not on the back. The rear springs were the same uninstalled height as stock only with more coils per spring. The fronts were quite a bit shorter than stock but with more coils per spring. Now in the whole suspension rebuild/lowering deal, the rear had shifted to one side and needed a Spohn adjustable track bar. Also I decided to go with tubular a-arms up front and I'm waiting for their arrival. The car is not back on the ground yet but i'll post my finding when it is.

I just installed the Eibach 1.5 lowering springs on my gta along with new struts, poly all the way around, and Spohn APHR. If you lower the rear you definately need to get a APHR because your *** end will be out of alignment.
The springs cost me 224 shipped (thunder racing) and the APHR (Spohn) cost me 140 shipped (that was a chromo one).
